Ch-Eireland
Ranch breeds, raises, trains, and shows Spanish Bred First Premium American
Sport Ponies. The ponies are Spanish Arabian bred on the top side crossed
with elegant Welsh-Thoroughbred mares on the bottom side. This cross is the
result of over 75 years of combined breeding and is world renown for
outstanding temperament, beauty, movement and athleticism. The Spanish
Arabian stallion "Dirdi Dancer" is by the
wonderful imported champion Spanish stallion *Sidi-Brahim
standing at Los Acres Arabians in Stockton,
California (see *Sidi-Brahim and his beautiful offspring at http://www.losacres.com/).
All ponies are registered
with the American Warmblood Registry's American
Sport Pony Division. All ponies have earned First Premium status, multiple
Site Championships. Ch-Eireland ponies are rated
among the very best in North America. Most
of the ponies are also double registered with IAHA.
Ch-Eireland
Ranch focuses on exposing the ponies to many environments and situations
early in life to promote confidence and the ability to deal quietly with
stressful situations. They learn to be patient and mature horses both in the
arena and on the trail. Ch-Eireland ponies are
handled extensively with special emphasis on the requirements of a show barn
(i.e. clipping, traveling well, acceptance of farrier
and health work). Once in training, ponies are shown in "A" rated
open and breed competition over fences and on the flat. Ch-Eireland ponies are small enough for a child's confidence
but strong enough for any adult rider. Owning a Ch-Eireland
pony is a wonderful opportunity to excel in the showring
one day, trail ride in the mountains or work a cow the next day. Sensible,
